Homeschool Band Classes

Homeschool Band classes can range anywhere from 10-25 students in a class. Classes are 1 hour 30 minutes long and the cost is $500 (August-December or January-May, a total of 17 weeks including Thanksgiving Break and Spring Break).

For the Fall of 2025, we are offering 2 different band classes in order to accommodate all students needs!

• Homeschool Experience Band: Any students who have previously ben in a band class with Dynamic Education or any other band class setting. This class if for students with 6 months or more experience on an instrument

• Homeschool Beginning Band: This class is for students brand new to playing a concert band instrument. We will explore the instruments together, test them, pick an instrument, and start with the basics of playing technique as well as music reading fundamentals.

Band Class in for the following instruments: Flute, Clarinet, Alto Saxophone, Trumpet, French Horn, Trombone, Baritone, Tuba, or Drum set/Percussion.

Students enrolled in these band classes will be offered the opportunity of being in a band with peers and a performing ensemble. Being in band offers many benefits including self expression, cognitive development, opportunities for socialization, self discipline, lower stress levels, and studies show that students of the arts continue to outperform their non-arts peers in academia. The list is endless!

Here are some examples of learning elements students will encounter in band class:

• Counting, reading, and playing rhythms

• Reading notes of the staff

• Ensemble playing

• Independent playing

• Instrument technique for instrument selected

• Socialization

• Performance opportunities

• Having fun!

This is a performance based class with a scheduled performanced at the end of the session.
