


Upper Elementary Homeschool Art Class
Upper Elementary Homeschool Art Classes are for ages 8-11 and can range anywhere from 10-20 students in a class. Classes are 1 hour long, and the cost is $425 (August-December or January-May, a total of 17 weeks including Thanksgiving Break and Spring Break).

This engaging homeschool art class for ages 8–11 is designed to inspire creativity while helping students build foundational art skills and confidence in their abilities. Perfect for upper elementary homeschoolers, the class combines hands-on projects with age-appropriate instruction in drawing, painting, and mixed media. Students will take a journey through time and explore techniques of the masters covering Prehistoric Art through Renaissance in the Fall, and Early American art through Modern Art in the Spring semester for a full rounded curriculum!

Students will:

Learn core art techniques such as shading, perspective, color mixing, and composition

Explore a variety of materials including pencils, markers, watercolor, acrylics, collage, and more

Study the work of famous artists and cultural art traditions to spark ideas and appreciation

Strengthen problem-solving and critical thinking through creative challenges and open-ended projects

Develop their own artistic voice while building confidence in their unique style

Each class is thoughtfully designed to balance structure and creative freedom in a relaxed, encouraging environment. No previous experience is required—just a willingness to learn and create!
