Staff: Kalyn Ortega- Owner and Founder of Dynamic Education
Kalyn graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University in the Spring of 2017 with a double Bachelor's in Music Education and a Bachelor's in Arts- Music Performance; Clarinet concentration. At FGCU, she studied instrumental and clarinet performance under Paul Votapek, MA, principal of the Naples Philharmonic. She has her professional teaching certification in K-12 Music. After graduating, Kalyn assumed the role of Director of Bands and Guitar at Three Oaks Middle School for the 2017-2018 school year. She is an active member of multiple organizations including FMEA, NAfME, and NEA. Kalyn have been an active performer on clarinet from 2012-present starting at FGCU performing across the country everywhere from music conventions, to Carnegie Hall with the FGCU Wind Orchestra and subbing in for orchestras such as the Gulf Coast Symphony, Naples Community Orchestra, The Naples Players, and the Naples Philharmonic. Kalyn has been an active music educator in the community for the past 12 years, serving as a clinician and staff member at multiple high schools and middle schools in Lee and Collier County. Kalyn assumed the role of music teacher and Intervention Support Specialist/ MTSS Specialist at Fort Myers Beach Elementary from Fall of 2020- Spring of 2024 where she received Teacher of the Year in 2021-2022, had an Amazing Teacher Feature in the News Press in Fall 2022, and was highlighted on national news with NBC2's Lester Holt on how music cultivated resilience and stability during Hurricane Ian. Kalyn has three beautiful boys and loves her family time just as much as she loves teaching!

Founded by Kalyn Ortega, Dynamic Education is a private lesson and class fine arts studio that strives to create a dynamic learning environment through music and the arts. It is intentionally designed to meet the needs of all students in all schooling settings while challenging them to enhance existing skills, interests and understandings, as well as meaningfully building new ones. Our vision with Dynamic Education is to provide that dynamic learning environment with a diverse range of music and fine arts services in order to meet students' wants and needs. Our mission with Dynamic Education is to provide music education and fine arts opportunities to all students and people from infancy to adulthood in SWFL. There is a place for everyone at Dynamic Education!
