Stage Set Design
Set Design Classes can range anywhere from 5-20 students in a class. Class is 1 hour long, and the cost is $425 (August-December or January-May, a total of 17 weeks including Thanksgiving Break and Spring Break).
Unleash your imagination and bring performances to life in our Stage Set Design class! Designed for students ages 10 and up, this hands-on program explores the art and technical skills behind theatrical design. Young designers will learn how to transform ideas on paper into eye-catching props, scenery, and stage elements that support storytelling on stage.
Through guided projects, students will:
🎨 Design and build theatrical props using a variety of safe, kid-friendly materials
🏗️ Create scenery and set pieces that enhance mood, character, and setting
💡 Explore color, texture, scale, and stage layout to understand how design shapes a performance
🛠️ Develop practical skills in painting, crafting, model-making, and collaborative problem-solving
🎭 Work behind the scenes to support real or simulated performances for our Homeschool performance groups!
Whether your child loves art, theater, crafting, or creative problem-solving, this class encourages imagination, builds confidence, and offers an exciting look into the world of stage production. No previous experience required, just curiosity and a willingness to create!
Class projects are designed to challenge and inspire, while allowing room for creative exploration and self-direction. This is a focused, supportive environment where serious young photographers can grow their confidence, skills, and artistic voice.
