


Jazz Band
Jazz Band class can range anywhere from 8-25 students in a class. Classes are 1 hour long and the cost is $425 (August-December or January-May, a total of 17 weeks including Thanksgiving Break and Spring Break).​

Jazz Band Class can be for the following instruments: Flute, Clarinet, Alto saxophone, Tenor Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, Baritone, Electric Guitar, Electric Bass, Piano, and Drum set/Percussion.
​
Students will learn the art of jazz performance through playing classic and contemporary jazz pieces. They’ll explore key elements of jazz, including swing rhythm, improvisation, and ensemble communication. Being in band offers many benefits including self expression, cognitive development, opportunities for socialization, self discipline, lower stress levels, and studies show that students of the arts continue to outperform their non-arts peers in academia. The list is endless! Students are taught and guided by a state certified K-12 Music teacher.

This is a performance based class with a performance at the end of the semester. Performances are a requirement of the class and attendance is crucial to learning and success.
