Clay Creations

Clay Creations class can range anywhere from 5-12 students in a class. Classes are 1 hour long, and the cost is $425 for the semester.

Let your child’s creativity take shape—literally! Our Clay Creations Class for ages 8 and up introduce young artists to the wonderful world of clay through hands-on projects that are fun, educational, and expressive. Guided by experienced instructors, students will learn the fundamentals of pottery while developing patience, focus, and artistic confidence.

Each session blends creative exploration with technical skill-building, allowing every student to create unique, lasting works of art they’ll be proud to bring home.

What Students Will Learn

• Clay Basics – Understanding different types of clay and how to handle and prepare them

• Hand-Building Techniques – Mastering pinch pots, coil building, and slab construction

• Wheel Throwing (optional for older students) – Learning how to center clay and form simple vessels on the pottery wheel

• Design & Texture – Exploring surface decoration, carving, and pattern-making

• Painting – Discovering how color, texture, and heat transform raw clay into finished art

• Creative Expression – Encouraging imagination and personal storytelling through sculpture and design

• Art Appreciation – Building respect for craftsmanship, patience, and the creative process
