Modern Band

Modern Band Class is for ages 12 and up and range anywhere is capped at 10 students in a class. Classes are 1 hour long and the cost is $425 for the semester.

This exciting ensemble class uses the Modern Band method, a contemporary approach to music education that brings popular music into the classroom. Students learn to play and perform current and classic songs while developing real-world band skills in a collaborative setting.

 

The class functions like a real band rehearsal. Students work together to learn songs, practice ensemble playing, and build confidence performing as a group. Musicians will develop skills such as listening, groove, rhythm, song structure, and stage presence while learning how different instruments work together in a band.

The band is made up of:

-2 Electric Guitars

-1 Bass Guitar

-1 Drum Set

-1 (or 2) Keyboard

-Up to 4 Vocalists

 

Students learn foundational techniques on their instruments, explore chord progressions and riffs commonly used in popular music, and practice playing together as a cohesive group. Vocalists focus on pitch, harmony, and microphone technique.
