Moises Gonzalez

Moises Gonzalez is a professional drummer, percussionist and educator with over 6 years of teaching experience and an extensive background in orchestral, Latin, jazz, rock, and contemporary music performance. His teaching approach combines strong technical fundamentals, musicality, creativity, and personalized instruction, helping students to develop confidence, discipline, and artistic expression through music.

Originally from Venezuela, Moises trained for over 11 years in the internationally recognized El Sistema music program, where he developed a strong foundation in percussion performance, ensemble playing, and musical education. Throughout his career, he has performed as principal percussionist with multiple regional and selected orchestras, including the Venezuela/Concertgebouw Orchestra and the Russia Tour 2016 Orchestra. His performance experience also includes symphonic rock orchestras, Latin jazz groups, Caribbean ensembles, and popular music projects.

Since relocating to Southwest Florida, Moises has become an active performer in the local music community. He currently performs with the Gulf Coast Symphony Orchestra, the Southwest Florida Theater Company, and the Southwest Florida Concert Band. He has also appeared as a guest percussionist with the Naples Philharmonic. Moises was awarded the Fine Arts Scholarship from Florida SouthWestern State College and continues to combine his professional performance career with a passion for high-quality music education.
