Music Production/ DJ Performance

Music Technology Class is for ages 10 and up and can range anywhere from 10-15 students in a class. Classes are 1 hour long and the cost is $425 for the semester.​

This hands-on class introduces students to the exciting world of digital music creation and DJ performance. Designed for ages 10 and up, students will learn how to create, record, edit, and mix music using modern production tools while exploring the fundamentals of beat-making and live DJ techniques.

 

Students will produce their own tracks using Soundtrap, where they’ll learn about loops, beats, recording, arrangement, and mixing. In addition, students will explore DJ skills using Rekordbox, learning how DJs organize music, blend songs, match tempos, and create smooth transitions between tracks.

Students will work with:

-Digital beat-making and music production

-Song structure and arranging

-Recording and editing audio

-Basic DJ techniques including mixing and transitions

-Creative sound design and remixing

 

Requirements:

-Students must bring their own laptop to class

-Software accounts will be provided

-DJ controllers will be available for students to use during class
