INSTRUMENTAL LESSONS
Students are required to provide their own instruments. Piano students are encouraged to have a piano or keyboard at home to practice on in order to see adequate progress. All lesson students are provided with a notebook by Dynamic Education but should also have pencil, method book recommended by the teacher.
SHEET MUSIC
Dynamic Education is able to provide some copies of music for lessons; however, any method books/original copies of music must be purchased by the student/parent prior to an audition or performance.
PRACTICING
Students are expected to practice daily what they learn in lessons. We recommend for younger students 10 minutes a day, up to 30-60 minutes a day for older, more advanced students. Practicing is KEY to seeing improvement and retaining the material being taught. By signing this contract, the parent/guardian agrees to encouraging their student to practice and make sure they are communicating with their teacher if they have any questions or concerns.
MULTI-SIBLING DISCOUNT (self-pay only)
If you are interested in enrolling more than one child, we gladly provide a multi sibling discount. Siblings will receive $10 off of the individual lesson cost. The monthly membership payment will be as follows for each additional sibling:
MUSICALS, ATHLETICS, AND SCHOOL RELATED EVENTS
It is your responsibility to inform us of any school and performance related events that will conflict with your regularly scheduled lesson. Lessons missed during “tech week” rehearsals for school performances are considered forfeited lessons. Dynamic Education should be notified of these prior to making your monthly payment. I encourage and support our students in their participation in the various musical and athletics programs. However, there are times when these events can become problematic with lessons due to the demanding rehearsal schedule and practices. If a student chooses to participate in these after school and community events and it becomes necessary to miss lessons, Dynamic Education suggests the following options:
● Make arrangements with the teacher, director, or coach to miss the rehearsal/practice for your lesson time each week. Let them know you must pay for missed lessons.
● Continue to pay monthly as stated above in the missed lesson policy and forfeit your lessons that are missed for other rehearsals or obligations.
VISITORS AT LESSONS
We ask that parents sit in the lobby during their child’s lesson or they may leave and run errands for the 1/2 hour or hour. Having the parent sit in lessons can be distracting to the student and teacher, we want to provide the best instruction we can to the student in the amount of time we have.
DISCONTINUATION
If the student and parent/guardian desire to discontinue private lessons, the student will receive lessons through the end of the paid month. At the end of the month, lessons will discontinue, and the student will forfeit their lesson time. No refund will be given for lessons which were already paid for. We reserve the right to discontinue lessons, at any point, due to inappropriate or disrespectful behavior from the student or parent/parental guardian.
