Service Description

Our 2nd–3rd Grade Music Class invites students to experience music through movement, singing, rhythm, and creative play. Students explore rhythm, pitch, and musical expression through singing games, movement activities, and interactive listening. Using hand percussion instruments such as rhythm sticks, shakers, drums, and tambourines, children learn to feel and perform steady beat, rhythm patterns, and musical form. Through Conversational Solfege, students begin to develop inner hearing and pitch accuracy while learning to read and understand musical patterns. Kodály-inspired singing strengthens musical literacy, and Dalcroze-based movement activities help students physically experience rhythm, phrasing, and tempo. Class activities include: -Singing folk songs and musical games -Movement and rhythm activities -Playing a variety of hand percussion instruments -Beginning music reading through solfege and rhythm syllables -Folk dances and coordinated group movement This lively class builds musical confidence, listening skills, coordination, and creativity while fostering a lifelong love of music. Classes are back to back with 15 minutesfor transitions. If you are running late to the scheduled class, an email or text message needs to be sent to the teacher. (For example: if you are 10 minutes late to a 60 minute class, the class will be 50 minutes long) TEACHER MISSED CLASSES If the instructor needs to miss a class due to a performance or self/family illness, or other family related situation, Dynamic Education will credit payment from that class toward another class in the future.
